As a subcategory or field of digital signal processing, digital image processing has many advantages over analog image processing. It allows a much wider range of algorithms to be applied to the input data and can avoid problems such as the build-up of noise and distortion during processing. What is Boolean logic ? And why do we need it ? To understand making logic circuits , first we need to know what is Boolean Algebra ? BOOLEAN ALGEBRA Boolean algebra also know as ' Switching Algebra ' is a symbolic analysis of relay switching circuits. It is represented in Binary Quantities , that in either  YES or NO , 1 or 0 , TRUE or FALSE , ON or OFF . statements  which can be determined to be true or false are called logical statements or truth functions and the results TRUE or FALSE are called truth values . The truth values are depicted by logical constants TRUE and FALSE or 1 and 0. 1 means TRUE and 0 means FALSE. And the variables which can store these truth values are called logical variables or binary valued variables as these can store one of the two values TRUE or False.
